Video Streams Up Almost 39% in 2006

According to AccuStream iMedia Research over 24.9 billion video streams were served on the Internet in 2006. That’s an increase of 38.8% from 2005, according to AccuStream researchers.

This includes free and subscription-based services. Music was the biggest genre of video streamed with 35.5% of total streams served, down 22% from 2005. News video were up 90%, which was the biggest increase from all categories.
