Total U.S. Music Sales Top $1 Billion in 2006

According to SoundScan, a company that compiles sales data from CDs and online music stores, U.S. music sales topped $1 billion in 2006. Online music sales totaled 581.9 million tracks, up 65% from 2005. See other great stats from SoundScan's press release.
